Well, I’m going to start at the very beginning and tell you about my first sim game.
The first ever Sim game I got, I think, was SimCity 3000 for about three pound at a supermarket. It was a great game, and actually I still like it and play on it.
Then, one day, my dad came home with The Sims for me. This wasn’t way back in 2000 though! It was about 2005. I played this a lot, but never played any expansions. I got the first expansion, but it put me off after not working.
Then, in March 2008, I bough The Sims 2, with some money I received from trading in games. I played this for hours.
I had a lot of websites before The Sims. The first site I put online was Sir Sim. This was a failure and I took it off.
A little later, I made up SimsStuff. I designed a very amateur site in Microsoft Publisher, and again, after a few days, I took it offline.
Then, SimOperations got started! I launched a YouTube channel and put some videos on. The first being Laura’s Story: a story about a sim girl called Laura, focusing on her wedding. I am keep updating this now.
I launched a blog at blogger, but called TheSecretSim. This changed to Sunset Times later on.
Then, I started designing my website. It was based on LebenSim, with a screenshot header and boxes down the site. This was version 3 of my Sims fansite. I still miss that site :(
I thought the site has too big a font and too big boxes. So I started from scratch again and made version 4.
Then I changed the name to SimOperations and started designing a site similar to this site. I changed it to a more square design, and version 6 came out!
However, due to bad browser compatibility, we decided to move to WordPress, as our site was mainly news anyway, and this would help us out a lot.
